Remembering Matías Catrileo, one year after his assassination

One year ago, Matías Catrileo -a student as a mapuche activist- was assassinated by chilean police in the south of chile when they were trying to occupy the ground of “Santa Margarita”, which is traditionally claimed as theirs, but now is owned by Jorge Luchsinger latifundary. A new assassination by chilean state took place this morning when a group of 20 mapuche people started a squat in Santa Margarita land. Matías Catrileo Quezada, around 20 years, got shot by a police weapon that perfored his lung. He died a couple of minutes after.
