Oct. 15. A rally attended by more than 5,000 people was called by the Mapuche organizations in a new anniversary of the discovery of America. This march is done every year and is the instance where native people express their complaints and requests to the Chilean society in Santiago.

On this occasion, the activity was marked by the denunciation of the repression suffered by the Mapuche people, as reflected in the political prison and the abuses to the communities of Temucuicui and the Lago (lake) Lleu Lleu by the chilean state.
