28/11/08.- A group of people gathered outside the Metropolitan Cathedral to ask for the freedoms of all political prisoners in chile and outside the borders; one of them chain himself to the building.

This is the communique:

Today, November 28th of this year, from Santiago, Chile, the opresed people rise ups against a system imposed by violence and the terror to the legal and moral convictions, that it needs our inequality, our misery and our pain to keep and increase its capital and power.

From here we denounce that this puppet State of the capital, like any other State, sells the fake democracy killing, chasing and incarcerating anybody who don’t resign to capitalist dictatorship.

It’s because of this that we denounce:

1.- The invasion by the chilean and argentinian state to the Mapuche nation and we express our solidarity with their just claim for autonomy and self determination, because it’s the same that we want for our selfs and the rest of the people of the world.

2.- The onslaught of repression of the chilean state against the social movements, puting people in jail and killing a big number of people, imposing the culture of terror throw the bourgeois press who have take the charge of criminalize all tipes of popular organization.

3.- We also express our solidarity with our comrades political prisoners that are doing a hunger strike in Chile, Brazil and Argentina.

Acknowledging that this situation doesn’t belong just only to the actual period, because the history of the repression is so old as the resistance that confronts it. The mapuche and chilean people will not rest for the construction of a free and egalitarian society.
