Meeting against the Massacre in Gaza

NEW MASSACRE IN GAZA

PUBLIC STATEMENT

When the whole world is watching, once again, in a passive and accomplice way, how the Israel state is developing a new massacre in Gaza, violating the international and humanitarian law; and developing a new facet of their historical and permanent policy of physical and political extermination against the palestine people, the Chilean of Palestinian descent, outraged by injustice and tired of so so much hypocrisy of the world, we come to publicly declare the following:

Considering:

· That the cause of all violence in the Middle East is the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories.

· That this occupation has over 40 years without the international community has never developed concrete actions to isolate it to the occupying power.

· That during the occupation have been continuously and systematically violated every human rights of Palestinians, international law, humanitarian law and universal values that the West claims to defend.

· That the outcome of the current offensive and includes over 150 Palestinians dead, including children and elderly, hundreds injured and all the infrastructure of public safety, health and communications, destroyed, in addition to civilian buildings and houses damaged.

We declare:

1. We strongly condemn these crimes against humanity that Israel once again carried out in complete impunity. These actions are comparable only with crimes against humanity, committed to the former Nazi army and the forces of order and security of the apartheid forces against innocent civilians in various parts of the world.

2. We deplore the indiscriminate attacks on innocent civilians and collective punishment applied by Israel against the civilian population, the destruction of houses and buildings, as well as all the basic infrastructure of livelihood of the civilian population.

3. We demand the international community to pressure Israel to stop military actions and ending the Israeli siege of Gaza and kept for more than a year, placing the civilian population to a humanitarian crisis of proportions never seen before and that is the cause first of the current situation in Gaza.

4. We call upon men and women of goodwill, the political parties, mass organizations and especially the Jews antisionistas the world, to break the silence and denounce all over this new slaughter by publicizing of contempt Israel for human rights and international law and to develop concrete actions of solidarity with the Palestinian people and rejection of the Israeli policy of extermination.

5. Also called on countries in the world, to abandon their silence, to halt cooperation with the occupying power and to develop concrete actions to stop Israel and isolate it from the international community until they submit their actions to international law and humanitarian observe proper respect for human rights in Occupied Palestine.

6. Call finally, our President, Dr. Michelle Bachelet, to review the current state of diplomatic relations between Chile and the state of Israel, as we believe that our country, especially given its recent history, can not endorse, by and international recognition through the development of diplomatic relations with occupying powers have shown, throughout its existence, a total disregard for international law and human rights.
