Thousands of students, workers, environmentalists and diverse social fighters were early in the morning in the streets of Valparaiso, to reproach to the president Piñera and all his gang of traitors to one’s country that neither the education, nor the health and much less the land and the water are for sale.
 
Around 4 hours of battle and street resistance interrupted the momentary passivity of a port that is not ready to see how the ruling class and the military wandering in their streets smiling.

This May 12, around 25k students answered the call of students and labor organizations to rally from plaza italia, asking for better payment methods and other benefits for college degrees. The call got reception in several places in Chile, with big demos in Valparaís, Valdivia and others.

In Santiago, the demo was blocked to take another path to get at Bulnes square, where presidents of the students federation gived speeches. At the same time students confronted police for hours, with a result of several arrests and people hurt by tear gas bombs.

This last Thursday 8000 students (from public and private colleges) rally from Parque Forestal to Plaza los Héroes in Santiago against educational politics from the government. The students asks for the end of the educational finance system that keeps students with debts for years because of the interests that state and the banks apply to college education.

From other sectors the critics target the commerce on education that happens in every level of the educational system. The rally ended with street blockades and several detained people.

A multitude from workers of the education walked from Italia Square toward the front of the museum of Modern Art, the reason of this conflict was the no payment of the bonus gained by the workers and the end of the municipalization of the education

Chilean teachers went out to the streets, summoned for a National strike by the Teacher Union. In a ceremony, carried out in the Central Square from Santiago, the teachers protested against the promulgated General Law of Education, afterward they walked to the Department of Education where they left a letter of repudiation to the same law.

Santiago, July 8. In a new demo againt profit in education, students and teachers went to the streets to rally and protest against LGE. The state’s response was repression. The riots ended in Usach college.

Santiago, Julio 8. En una nueva movilización contra la educación de mercado, estudiantes y profesor_s salieron a las calles para marchar y protestar contra la Ley General de Educación. La respuesta fue la represión policial y los consecuentes enfrentamientos.

The combatant youth went again to the streets, from Universidad de Santiago College they decide to go out and shutdown the traffice setting barricades on fire as a way to protest against merchantilism in the education and the new General Law of Education.

Santiago, July 2. Around 300 students of different pedagogies gathered to rally against LOCE and LGE. Also the folks of the andine dance collective Quillahuaira joined the demo .

Santiago, June 30th. Masked youth from the Universidad de Santiago College went to the streets and with molotov cocktails shutdown traffic at Alameda Av. and confront riot police. This action was made as a form of protest against LOCE and LGE.
