Thousands of students, workers, environmentalists and diverse social fighters were early in the morning in the streets of Valparaiso, to reproach to the president Piñera and all his gang of traitors to one’s country that neither the education, nor the health and much less the land and the water are for sale.
 
Around 4 hours of battle and street resistance interrupted the momentary passivity of a port that is not ready to see how the ruling class and the military wandering in their streets smiling.

This last Friday 13th, a new demo against the project hidroaysén was hold in Santiago. This project is rejected by a hight percent of the population because of the environmental damage it’s going to make in the chilean south, drowning forests and setting up electric cables for 3000km.

Like the days Monday and Tuesday, this Friday around 20000 people rally from plaza italia. The column was stopped by police “asked to take an alternative route”. The negative of the demo to do that get as result a strong repression by police and several clashed between protesters and the dogs of the state.

And like police was unable to stop the demo, the protest reached the house of the state and the riots that made that possible were hold for several hours.

On May 9th, after the approval of the environmental destructive project Hidroaysén thousands of people decide to rally in downtown santiago to protest against this action. Police tried to stop the demo, and that started strong night riots.

On April 26th environment activists in solidarity with Aysen’s residents, rally for make the government stop their plans for install several dams in the chilean south, damaging the life and geography of the place forever

More than a thousand of peoples of different sensibilities with respect to the use of the clean energies got together in the Baquedano square, to protest against the different constructions of thermoelectric stations placed so much in Aisen as in the north of Chile.

Over one hundred persons marched in the center of Santiago protesting for the beginning of the works by part of the Canadian miner Barrick Gold in the glaciers of the third region.
Pascua Lama is a project of mining development which consist in the open pit exploitation from mineral resources of gold, silver and copper
This deposit will affect the local flora and fauna as well as the existence of two glaciers that are in that zone.

Enviromental activists made a FUNA to protest against Barrick Gold’s proyecto Pascua Lama. The FUNA was hold at the Democracia Cristiana Party, because members of this party are involved in the business and negotiations.

Different organizations and collectives who are against the Barrick Gold’s Pascua Lama project get together to show with arts their opinion.
